About Attorney Raymond Dougherty
Mr. Dougherty grew up in Philadelphia attending both Catholic and public grade schools before attending the Saint Joseph's Preparatory School. He is an exceptionally well rounded and educated professional who understands the reality and practical issues of life and in doing business today. His other educational accomplishments include three business degrees - a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Temple University's highly rated Fox School of Business and Management.
While in college, he waited tables and did bookkeeping for a family owned business. In grad school, Attorney Dougherty worked as a grad assistant and was a volunteer to help improve health care delivery in North Philadelphia. After grad school he worked at a major heath system located in Philadelphia primarily in finance and operations. Later he worked in for a major national insurer, again in finance and operations and in areas of accounting and information systems as well and was integrally involved in a subsidiary sale. Mr. Dougherty "ended" his business career in the consulting which he later left to attend law school.
Attorney Dougherty attended Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Mr. Dougherty was a volunteer assisting the indigent with bankruptcies. During and after law school, he worked with an attorney primarily dealing with complex family law matters and personal injury among a variety of other legal areas before starting Dougherty Law. In keeping with his commitment and providing the highest quality legal advice, agreements, settlements and legal documents.
Attorney Dougherty continued his his education after law school in the difficult and complex areas of tax law and estate planning. He completed that degree in May 2008 adding a Master of Law in Taxation and a Certificate in Estate Planning to his educational accolades which gives him a competitive edge in the most complex areas of family law, business and other legal issues.
